Prince Harry’s Book ‘Spare’ Gets Royal Reactions in 2023

LONDON — Members of the United Kingdom’s royal family appeared in public for the first time since the release of Prince Harry’s intense memoir, touring hospitals as they got back to work.

When Prince William and Kate arrived at Royal Liverpool University Hospital in Liverpool, the home city of The Beatles, they appeared relaxed, but they were challenged by a man outside the media area in blustery circumstances who appeared to remark, “Do you ever plan to comment on  prince Harry’s book, sir?”

The couple didn’t answer the question and kept walking around the ICU, meeting staff and posing for pictures.

‘Spare’ Has Lots Of Secrets And Accusations

Meanwhile, King Charles III flew to Scotland to meet with local groups that assist prevent rural isolation. King Charles went to the Mid-Deeside Community Shed in Aberdeenshire, near Aboyne, after hearing “Scotland the Brave” played on the pipes. There, he saw people doing things like carving wood and stone.

“Spare,” Prince Harry’s book, has a lot of secrets and accusations, and many of them have been widely known for days. In the ghostwritten biography, Prince Harry, 38, recalls his mother’s death, a battle with his brother Prince William, and his dissatisfaction with the role of royal “spare” in the shadow of his elder sister, who is heir to the U.K. throne.

Prince Harry Blamed

Prince Harry often blamed the media for his problems in several interviews. He said that unfair and intrusive coverage made his fight with William worse. He also accuses royal family members of leaking material to the media to boost their reputations.

And the memoir is selling well.

Penguin Random House stated that first-day sales had surpassed 1.4 million copies on Wednesday. In comparison, when Michelle Obama’s hit “Becoming” was released in 2018, it took a week to reach 1.4 million viewers.
