London — After appearing in court on Friday about an alleged plot to kidnap and murder Holly Willoughby, one of Britain’s most prominent television personalities, a 36-year-old man was ordered to remain in detention.
At Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court, approximately 65 kilometers east of London, Gavin Plumb, a security officer for a shopping center, appeared and spoke solely to affirm his name, date of birth, address, and place of employment.
He is charged with soliciting David Nelson to commit murder and incitement to perpetrate a kidnapping in Harlow, Essex, between October 2 and October 5. The court was informed that the other man was scheduled to appear in the United Kingdom from the United States the following week.
On November 3, Plumb is scheduled to appear at a plea hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court.

A spokesperson for ITV stated, “This news has come as a huge shock to everyone at ‘This Morning’ and ITV.” “We are offering Holly Willoughby and her family every possible support during this extremely distressing period.”
