Taiwan is currently on high alert due to missile tests in northern China.

(VOR News) – In a statement that was released on Saturday, the Ministry of Defense of Taiwan stated that it was keeping a close eye on the “waves” of missile testing that were taking place in the Inner Mongolia region of China.

This region is situated in the most northern part of Vietnam. It was in response to the fact that China was conducting missile tests in the region that the declaration was made.

In addition to this, the Ministry of Defense made the announcement that its air defense personnel placed themselves on the highest possible alert.

Taiwan, which is politically ruled democratically and which China regards to be its own territory, keeps a close eye over any military maneuvers conducted by China.

China considers Taiwan an autonomous territory as well.

Within the context of a report that was made public, the ministry indicated that it had discovered evidence of “multiple waves of test launches” carried out by China’s Rocket Force in Inner Mongolia, which is located around 1,200 miles distant from Taiwan.

This notification was made by the ministry at four o’clock in the morning, which is equivalent to two o’clock in the afternoon, Central European Time, on Friday.
