Arch Manning Replaces Injured Quinn Ewers and Leads No. 2 Texas to a 56-7 Win Over UTSA.

(VOR News) – Texas’ Arch Manning practice began with Quinn Ewers injured. The teenage footballer from a prominent family scored immediately.

In the second quarter, Arch Manning came in for Ewers and ran for 67 yards. On Saturday, the No. 2 Longhorns trounced UTSA 56-7 thanks to four touchdown passes from him.

Texas led 14-0 when Ewers left with strained abdominal muscles, according to coach Steve Sarkisian. Brown got a 19-yard touchdown throw from Arch Manning on his opening play. UTSA (1-2) defenders chased him down, but he scored again on a lengthy run on Texas’ next drive.

According to Arch Manning, “adrenaline kicks in.”

He gave Isaiah Bond a 51-yard touchdown throw on Texas’ opening third-quarter play to make it 35-7. Ryan Wingo scored on a 75-yard pass. Manning was rendered ineffective after completing 9 out of 12 passes for a total of 223 yards. Johntay Cook II received his final touchdown pass. In the fourth quarter, he departed prematurely.

He remarked, “Having great coaches and players around you is helpful.” The five-star recruit with NFL ties may be the most famous backup quarterback. Arch Manning delivered on the hype with fast passes and an unexpected burst of speed.

Manning is the son of NFL quarterback Cooper Arch Manning and the nephew of Super Bowl winners Peyton and Eli Manning.

If Ewers is injured for a long time, Texas can still make Arch Manning the starter before the schedule becomes harder.

Louisiana-Monroe visits Texas next week. The team’s first SEC game is at home against Mississippi State on September 28. After that, Texas takes a week break before playing Oklahoma annually.

Ewers’ disappearance time was not announced by Texas. Sarkisian said the touch didn’t injure Ewers.

It’s unclear how serious. “We don’t see anything structurally or mechanically broken,” Sarkisian said. Ewers passed to Quintrevion Wisner after a 49-yard throw to Gunnar Helm. Wisner waved to the team’s doctors before dropping to his back.

After leaving the pitch, he entered the medical tent with his shirt over his face. By the third quarter, he stood in regular clothes. After the game, Ewers avoided reporters.

Over the past two years, Ewers has missed many games due to injury. Texas’ stunning road win over Michigan, the defending national champion, made him a Heisman Trophy contender. He completed 14 of 16 passes versus UTSA for 165 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception before getting hurt.

Manning said he and Ewers share a room when the Longhorns get together the night before a game.

“ Arch Manning has taught me so much,” he said.

I hope he’s doing well.” Sarkisian praised Manning for maintaining his composure under challenging circumstances.

“Having a backup who doesn’t have a lot of experience is hard.” Sarkisian calls Arch our third guy last year. Nothing beats playing. Stage performance in front of 105,000 people is difficult. I like Arch.

Important lessons

Texas State: The Longhorns have three 50-yard touchdowns, but their defence keeps giving up big plays. The secondary couldn’t handle Texas’ speed, even when Manning raced past several players on his long touchdown run.

The weekly availability report and depth chart will be most popular in Texas. Even if Arch Manning controls the game briefly, the Longhorns will feel pleased. Rookie Trey Owens becomes the main backup if Ewers gets hurt.

Hardware density

Texas has only allowed 19 points and two touchdowns in three games.

Poll location

highest ranked Mississippi overcame Kentucky in a tough game, but Texas’ strong start will likely narrow the distance between them and the Longhorns at the top. Texas last topped the list in 2008. Austin will host Georgia on Oct. 19.
