NEW YORK — According to authorities, Justin Timberlake was arrested early Tuesday on Long Island after being accused of driving while intoxicated.

Timberlake was freed from detention later that morning after being arraigned in Sag Harbour, on Long Island’s east end. He was charged with one count of DWI, and his next court appearance is scheduled on July 26, according to the Suffolk County district attorney’s office.

Timberlake’s lawyers and representatives did not immediately respond to The Associated Press’s requests for comment.
