Rajasthan – Indian Railways is preparing to boost connectivity in Rajasthan by introducing two new Vande Bharat trains under the North Western Railways (NWR). One train will operate between Bikaner and Delhi, stopping at Churu, Ratangarh, and Loharu.
The other will run between Jaipur and Jodhpur via Ajmer. These trains are expected to reduce travel time and offer passengers a faster, more efficient travel option.
The Bikaner-Delhi train will provide a direct link between the two cities, cutting travel time significantly. According to the schedule, the train will leave Bikaner at 5:55 am and reach Delhi by 12:15 pm.
On its return, it will depart Delhi at 4:30 pm and arrive back in Bikaner at 10:50 pm. Officials report that the journey time will be reduced to 6 hours and 20 minutes, saving nearly 90 minutes compared to existing options.
The second train is planned to connect Jaipur and Jodhpur, with a possible stop in Ajmer. Officials are still evaluating two options: a direct route between Jaipur and Jodhpur or a service running from Jodhpur to New Delhi via Jaipur.
Final details are expected to be announced soon, as the proposal is currently under review by the railway ministry.
Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of NWR, confirmed efforts to enhance passenger connectivity and improve travel options. The new trains, pending final approval, aim to provide quicker and more comfortable journeys for travellers.
Rajasthan already has several Vande Bharat trains operating, including routes between Jaipur-Udaipur, Ajmer-Delhi (via Jaipur), Bhagat Ki Kothi-Sabarmati, and Udaipur-Agra Cantt.
The addition of these new services is expected to further modernize train travel across the state, offering faster and more reliable connections between major cities.
