Patrick Spence, Sonos CEO, Is Departing After a Botched App Update.

Patrick Spence, who has been serving as chief executive officer of the organisation (see above), has made the decision to resign from his post after eight years of providing service to the company.

Tom Conrad, who was a co-founder of Pandora and a former member of the board of directors for Sonos, will take over as interim CEO of the company beginning today.

Conrad helped Sonos start both businesses quite well.

The speaker maker had a challenging year last year, dealing with a variety of issues. Even though the corporation released a significant update to its software platform, it was rife with issues and eliminated a number of functionality that had been there for a long time.

In an email that was sent to employees of Sonos, Conrad wrote this, and The Verge was able to receive it after it had been delivered to the staff.

Considering that Conrad’s new title suggests that the board of directors of Sonos is presently searching for the next permanent CEO of the company, the search is currently underway. There was a 3.3% increase in the price of Sonos shares during the pre-market trading session.
