North West wants to touch the sky, following in her parents’ footsteps.
In a rare interview, the 10-year-old revealed how her parents, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, inspire her creatively.
North West, for example, mentioned that her current favorite song is Kanye West’s “Through the Wire.” She’s also inherited her father’s love of music, telling i-D in an Oct. 31 interview, “Yeah, I like singing.” “My favourite thing to do is perform.”
She also doesn’t have to seek far for fashion inspiration. When asked what item of clothing she wished she had but didn’t, North replied, “My mom’s clothes and my dad’s clothes, if they fit me.”
North West, the eldest of Kim and Kanye’s four children describes her life right now in three words: “blessed, awesome, cool.” And she has huge plans for the future.
North West wants to touch the sky, following in her parents’ footsteps.
Her professional goals include being “a rapper, a basketball player, and I’m going to make artwork that I’ll sell.” But, in the short term, she already has some business ideas.
“When I’m, like, thirteen, I want to walk dogs, to make money to buy art supplies,” says North, “because everything around here is so expensive.”
In the future, she intends to search closer to home, proving herself to be a chip off the old block once more.
“One day, I want to own Yeezy and SKIMS,” North stated, referring to her parents’ businesses. “And I want to be a business owner.”
