MANCHESTER, England – Nicki Minaj’s show in Manchester on Saturday night was rescheduled after authorities in the Netherlands discovered marijuana in her suitcases as she was about to leave the country.
Live Nation, the event’s promoter, stated that the concert will be rescheduled and that tickets will be honored.

“Despite Nicki’s best efforts to explore every possible avenue to make tonight’s show happen, the events of today have made it impossible,” the promoter stated. “We are deeply disappointed by the inconvenience this has caused.”
Minaj tweeted earlier Saturday that she was halted at the Amsterdam airport as she prepared to board an aircraft for the Manchester event. Police informed her that they discovered marijuana in her suitcases and that it would need to be weighed, she tweeted. Cannabis is prohibited in the Netherlands however it is permitted for recreational use.
According to Robert Van Kapel, a spokesperson for the Netherlands Military Police, a 41-year-old American lady has been arrested for shipping “soft drugs.” He did not name the woman or describe the medications in issue. Police later tweeted that they had fined and released the woman.
