This Week, Biden Will Tour The Areas Devastated By Hurricane Helene.

(VOR News) – This week, Vice President Joe Biden has stated his intention to travel to places that have been hit by Hurricane Helene. However, his trip will only take place if rescue and recovery operations are not disrupted.

During the evening of Sunday, Vice President Biden was provided with an updated briefing regarding the significant destruction that was caused by the terrible storm throughout a large region in the Southeast.

During a brief conversation with reporters, he referred to the damage caused by the hurricane as “stunning” and stated that the administration is providing the states with “everything we have” to assist them in their response to the tragedy.

VP Biden will deliver White House remarks on Monday.

During those remarks, he would discuss the steps that the administration is making to respond to the situation. In addition, the White House said that Vice President Kamala Harris will go to the areas that have been impacted by hurricanes “as soon as possible without significantly impeding the efforts of emergency response personnel.”

At a rally that took place in Las Vegas on Sunday evening, Harris spoke about the effects that the natural disaster known as Hurricane Helene had.

He made the observation, “I am aware that everyone here extends their thoughts and prayers to those who have been profoundly affected by the hurricane.” She made the following statement “We will support these communities for as long as necessary to ensure their ability to rebuild.”

On Sunday, Harris was planning to spend the night in Las Vegas in preparation for his campaign trip that was scheduled to take place on Monday.

The statement made by her office indicated that she would be returning to Washington earlier than anticipated in order to participate in a briefing at the Federal Emergency Management Agency concerning the damage that Hurricane Helene had inflicted.

There were thirty people who lost their lives as a result of the storm, according to a previous report from a county in North Carolina that encompasses the mountain city of Asheville.

91 people have died directly as a result of the storm.

On Sunday evening, the Vice President of the United States reached out to a large number of state and local government authorities in places that were impacted by the hurricane named Hurricane.

The politicians included the Governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, the Governor of North Carolina, Roy Cooper, the Mayor of Valdosta, Georgia, Scott Matheson, and the Director of Emergency Management for Taylor County, Florida, John Louk.

It was claimed by the White House that Vice President Biden conveyed to the leaders that the administration “will persist in offering support to affected communities — for as long as it is necessary.”

Both Deanne Criswell, the head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and Liz Sherwood-Randall, the homeland security adviser, have provided Vice President Biden with regular updates on the storm’s progress.

At his oceanfront Delaware home, Vice President Biden basked in the sun.

During his time aboard Air Force Two, Harris was reportedly provided with the same briefing, according to the White House.

According to an announcement made by the White House, Vice President Biden has delegated to Criswell the job of determining ways to expedite the delivery of relief to persons who are geographically isolated and who are experiencing difficulties gaining access to assistance.

Earlier on Sunday, the campaign of former President Donald Trump made the announcement that he would travel to Valdosta, Georgia, on Monday in order to see the extent of the damage that Hurricane Helene has caused in that state.

As one of the many heated battlegrounds that will have a big impact on the presidential election that will take place in November, Valdosta is of particular importance.

It has been revealed by the Trump campaign that during his visit, he is anticipated to receive a briefing, supervise the delivery of relief goods, and deliver remarks.
