Megalopolis Trailer Pulled By Lionsgate Over Fabricated Critics Quotes

Megalopolis

Megalopolis Trailer has been pulled by Lionsgate Films after it came to light that the critics’ quotes in the movie used were fabricated, according to a representative who spoke with Fox News Digital.

Lionsgate Films stated it was immediately recalling the trailer for Megalopolis. A Lionsgate spokesperson said in a statement. “We offer our sincere apologies to the critics involved and to Francis Ford Coppola and American Zoetrope for this inexcusable error in our vetting process. We screwed up. We are sorry.”

Released on Wednesday, the Megalopolis teaser used statements from critics such as Pauline Kael and Roger Ebert from previous Coppola films, even though these quotes did not appear in their evaluations.

Taking advantage of some of the stronger critical backlash towards September’s self-financed $120 million epic “Megalopolis,” the goal appears to have been to draw attention to the polarising reception that now-classics like “The Godfather” and “Apocalypse Now” received.

Guardian Goes Woke on “Megalopolis”

Even before its release, “Megalopolis” has been divisive. According to a May article in The Guardian, Coppola exhibited “old school” conduct towards female coworkers.

A source informed the newspaper that the director allegedly coaxed ladies into sitting on his lap. Reportedly, Coppola tried to kiss scantily clothed or topless female extras while filming a scene in a nightclub.

“I have known and worked with Francis and his family for over 35 years,” shared Darren Demetre, executive co-producer of “Megalopolis” with The Guardian at the time.

On his latest epic, “Megalopolis,” I served as an executive producer, second unit supervisor, and first assistant director, all while advising on and directing the production. Francis remained faithful to his creative vision while producing and directing a big independent film, making all the tough decisions to assure its timely and budgetary delivery.

“There were two days when we shot a celebratory Studio 54-esque club scene where Francis walked around the set to establish the spirit of the scene by giving kind hugs and kisses on the cheek to the cast and background players,” according to the statement.

The club vibe was crucial to the plot of the film, and it was his way of contributing to that vibe. Throughout the duration of the project, I did not become aware of any allegations of harassment or inappropriate behaviour.

The Venom 3 Trailer Contains an Intriguing MCU Connection.

Venom

(VOR News) – Venom has managed to maintain the Sonyverse mostly on its own, despite the regrettable events involving Morbius and Madame Webb. But Eddie Brock’s journey as a symbiote will (presumably) come to an end with the release of Venom:

The Last Dance, the third installment in the Venom film series. The action will take place in several different places, one of which is called Las Vegas.

Thanks to the most recent trailer for the movie, fans may finally find out who will play the lead role in the third and final Venom episode. This choice has enormous ramifications that might reach into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in addition to the Sonyverse.

The movie opens with Venom mentioning his “creator,” and approximately a minute into the clip, we see a glimpse of an elderly-looking man with stringy white hair. For comic book readers, the Knull is the only interpretation that has any chance of being true.

In Marvel Comics, Knull is a malevolent god who caused the genesis of the Symbiotes. The Symbiotes were also created by him. His plan to wipe out the Celestials, the ancient deities we encountered in Eternals, was directed at them.

In addition, he created All-Black the Necrosword, the tool used by Gorr the God-Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder.

In addition to making Venom, he also made this tool.

Additionally, he portrayed the main antagonist in the Silver Surfer: Black comic book narrative published in 2019. Venom is not the only one impacted by his influence.

On the other hand, he will have a major and prominent part as the creator of Venom in the next film Venom: The Last Dance. Given that the Symbiotes have revolted against Knull, it is likely that he is attempting to subdue them.

There is a popular belief, though, that Rhys Ifans—who portrays House of the Dragons—will portray Knull. The identity of the actor that will portray Knull is still unknown, despite not knowing their name yet.

It is entirely untrue that Norman Reedus was the actor chosen for the role, despite a well-known Twitter assertion to the contrary.

Ifans was chosen for a role in the movie that hasn’t yet been fully revealed. The post is wholly untrue, though. Without question, the actor portraying Otto Hightower has the necessary gravity to capture the essence of the ancient Knull. This being represents the evil that existed before the cosmos was formed and predates even the celestials.

Still, is there any chance that Knull has more surprises in store for him than just this film?

The release of Avengers: Secret Wars, a significant crossover event that is anticipated to unite the entire Marvel roster in an extraterrestrial war royale, is set to mark the conclusion of the present era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The months of April and May are when this event is planned to happen.

Venom, Eddie Brock, and other Sonyverse characters can fight Knull.

There is undoubtedly a chance of this. Moreover, Knull is important enough to the Marvel universe that he may have opinions about how the dispute should be resolved.

Though it’s likely that Knull won’t be around for very long as a supervillain, he makes the ideal antagonist for the final Venom episode.

He poses a threat comparable to that of a god and will reveal the history and traits of the Symbiotes. He poses a risk. This win might benefit the Sonyverse, especially in light of the horrific tales it has told about Morbin’ Time and Amazonian spiders.

NEW YORK — Taylor Swift’s dominance continued at the MTV Video Music trophies when she won seven trophies, including the night’s largest, the trophy for video of the year.

In her address Wednesday night, Swift praised her “boyfriend, Travis” for being on the set of the “Fortnight” music video and cheering her on. Fans screamed with delight when NFL player Travis Kelce was mentioned.

“Everything this man touches turns to happiness, fun, and magic,” she remarked, before moving gears to the 2024 presidential race and encouraging her over-18 supporters to register to vote.

Swift did not, however, criticize Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign on stage. Swift backed the vice president on Tuesday night, just moments after Harris’ debate with former President Donald Trump concluded.

Swift’s awards sweep raises her career total to 30, tying her with Beyoncé for the most VMA awards in history. Eminem is currently the male artist with the most VMAs, with 15.

Swift and Post Malone also won the VMAs’ first broadcast award for best collaboration, “Fortnight,” which was presented to them by Flavour Flav and Olympian Jordan Chiles.

Swift began her address by paying tribute to everyone who lost their lives and loved ones on 9/11, 23 years ago.

“I’ve just been thinking about what happened 23 years ago, everyone who lost a loved one and everyone that we lost and that is the most important thing about today,” she told me. “And everything that happens tonight falls behind that.”

She then turned to talk about Malone.

“There is a reason Post Malone is everyone in music’s favourite person to collaborate with,” she said, turning her gaze to him. “It has taken forever for me to get him to stop calling me ma’am.”

Chappell Roan received the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist.

“I dedicate this to all the drag artists who inspire me,” she stated during her address while wearing chain mail and reading from a written speech in her diary. “I’m dedicating this to the gay and trans people that govern pop… “Thank you for listening.”

Women dominated the award event, with Roan’s innovative, medieval set serving as a prime example.

Drag queen Sasha Colby presented her as “your favourite drag queen’s favourite artist,” alluding to Roan’s now-famous Coachella performance, which was inspired by Colby. Real supporters will undoubtedly have enjoyed the hyper-referential tidbit.

Roan came in armor, blasting a lighted crossbow at the castle gates behind her, which burned in the process. Her dancers were knights, battling each other in breathtaking choreography while she performed her queer pop hit “Good Luck, Babe.”

Sabrina Carpenter, the other 2024 pop vocalist, won the Song of the Year award for “Espresso.”

“This is really special,” she remarked in a speech dedicated to her supporters. “And thank you to that me-espresso.”

Earlier in the night, she sang her popular singles “Please Please Please,” “Taste,” and “Espresso” during the award event, dancing alongside a moon man and an alien.

Katy Perry accepted the Video Vanguard Award, playing an eight-song medley spanning her career: “Roar,” “E.T.,” “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “I Kissed a Girl,” “Firework,” and “Lifetimes.”

“I did that all on the first day of my period, can you believe it?” she said after receiving the award from her partner, Orlando Bloom. “To have a long and successful career as an artist, several factors must come together. “There are no decade-long accidents.”

She also teased a new song called “I’m His, He’s Mine,” which features Doechii and borrows the Crystal Waters classic “Gipsy Woman (La Da Dee La Da Da).”

Previous Video Vanguard Award winners include Shakira, Beyoncé, Minaj, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and Missy Elliott.

Eminem opened the VMAs with a medley of his singles “Houdini” and “Somebody Save Me,” incorporating a televised feed of Jelly Roll. (The song refers to Jelly Roll’s big country radio hit “Save Me.”)

Megan Thee Stallion, a first-time host, welcomed the audience Wednesday night, joking that the VMAs now stand for the “voluptuous Megan awards.” She later performed.

Earlier in the evening, Karol G took over with a fierce rendition of her classic, “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido.” Rauw Alejandro took Puerto Rico to the stage, performing “Touching the Sky,” “DILUIVO,” and “Déjame Entrar.”

Tyla received the best Afrobeats award.

Flavour Flav and Chuck D of Public Enemy joined LL COOL J to commemorate Def Jam Records’ 40th anniversary.

Halsey channeled garage bands in her new single, “Ego,” which is set in the suburbs. GloRilla’s “Yeah Glo!” and “TGIF” added style.

Blackpink’s LISA, the best K-pop award winner, made her VMA debut as a soloist, belting out two brand-new tunes, “New Woman” and “Rockstar.” Shawn Mendes made his long-awaited return with a new John Mayer-esque acoustic single, “Nobody Knows.”

Anitta received the prize for best Latin with her performances of “Paradise,” “Alegria,” and “Savage Funk,” which included DJ Khaled, Fat Joe, and Tiago PZK. Camilla Cabello performed in a panopticon. Benson Boone was as excited as ever to sing his viral hit “Beautiful Things” on the VMA stage. Lenny Kravitz proved that rock isn’t dead with “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” “Human,” and finally “Fly,” in which he was accompanied by Quavo.

The 40th VMAs took place in the UBS Arena on Long Island, New York.

The night was filled with superstars, including Swift, who came in a green tartan corset with a matching train and long black leather gloves.

Throughout the night, MTV flashed back to iconic moments from the VMAs’ 40-year history, such as Britney Spears’ albino python and Madonna’s performance of “Like A Virgin.”

Lalisa Manobal, of BLACKPINK, Makes History by Winning the 2024 MTV VMAs.

Lalisa Manobal

(VOR News) – At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, Lalisa Manobal, better known by her stage name Lalisa Manobal, made history by becoming the first solo artist to win the award not once, but twice.

This accomplishment put her in the category of historical firsts. With this accomplishment, a feat that had never been accomplished before was finally accomplished. The achievement of this milestone was made possible by the fact that the prize was won by the artist in his or her solo capacity.

She was awarded the second-best accolade that has ever been bestowed onto a K-pop artist, which was one of the many honours that were delivered this evening.

The accolade was presented to BLACKPINK, the sensation, at a ceremony that took place on September 11 at the UBS Arena in New York City. The ceremony was conducted in New York City. She was awarded this honour as a token of appreciation for her comeback single, which was selected to be named Rockstar.

My return to Rockstar was a wonderful and significant time for me because I had previously worked with Lalisa Manobal. This was due to the fact that I had collaborated with me in the past.

My return to Rockstar was a significant one because this was the situation that I found myself in. Following her expression of thanks for the victory and her congrats, she continued to give a shout out to BLINKS and Lillies all around the world during her acceptance speech.

Following her thanks for the win, Lalisa Manobal did this.

It was after she had already conveyed her appreciation for the victory that she made this statement. Following that, she went on to offer her congrats to the individual in question.

Following her remark that “this is something that is exceptional,” she then proceeded to make the statement.

Furthermore, the founder of LLOUD discussed her freshly established agency as well as RCA Records, complimenting both of them for their contributions to the success that was made possible as a result of their respective responsibilities. RCA Records was also mentioned in the conversation.

In addition, Lalisa Manobal conveyed her gratitude to RCA Records for their contribution to the achievement of those goals.

Being the first soloist in the history of the Video Music Awards to win Best K-pop twice, the Thai-Korean rapper and performer, who is 27 years old, made history by earning the most current Moonman trophy. He also created history by being the first soloist to win the award twice.

This achievement was attained by simultaneously winning the award for Best K-pop on two separate occasions.

Despite the fact that there was no previous example to follow, this challenge was successfully Lalisa Manobal accomplished. After the Moonman figurine was presented to the audience, this goal was successfully accomplished in the immediate aftermath of the presentation.

Taking into account the fact that she is the very first and only solo artist to attain success in this particular sector of the music industry is something that is essential to take into consideration.

Remembering this is of the utmost importance and should not be overlooked. At the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, the single song “Lalisa Manobal” by Lalisa Manobal was selected as the winner of the award for Best K-pop Album. This was announced in the announcement that was made.

Lalisa Manobal gave a performance that was a mix of her two most recent hits, which were Rockstar and New Women. Both of these songs were exceptionally successful. She sang this song in addition to the others that she sang.

Lisa was the one who sang this song, and she was also the one who produced it, working in collaboration with Rosalia, a Spanish vocalist. Not only that, but Lisa was the one who sang it. Not only did Lisa emerge a winner, but she also provided a performance in the tournament that she won. Lisa gave a performance.
