Meg Ryan is making a comeback in a new romantic comedy.
The first trailer for Ryan’s new film, “What Happens Later,” sees her detained at an airport with her ex-boyfriend, played by David Duchovny.
Meg also directed the film. Adapted from Steven Dietz’s drama “Shooting Star.”
“Two ex-lovers, Bill (David Duchovny) and Willa (Meg Ryan), get snowed in at a regional airport overnight,” according to the official narrative. Willa, a magical thinker, and Bill, a catastrophic thinker, find themselves just as attracted to and annoyed by each other as they did decades before. But as they unravel the mystery of their common past and compare their lives to the aspirations they once had, they begin to wonder if their reunion is only a coincidence or something more magical.”

“What Happens Later” hits theatres on October 13.
