Multiple arrests have been made in connection with Matthew Perry’s killing, according to a law enforcement source familiar with the case.

The adored actor who portrayed Chandler Bing on “Friends” died in October at 54. Perry was discovered floating face down in the pool at his Pacific Palisades home. According to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office postmortem report, the actor died as a result of “acute effects of ketamine” and drowning.

In May, Los Angeles Police Department Capt. Scot Williams informed CNN that the investigation into Perry’s death was continuing and criminal.

“Hypothetically there’s a potential for criminal culpability depending on what the investigation undercovers, but at this point, we’re not there yet,” he was saying at the time.

Williams said investigators investigated how Perry obtained the medications and who might have supplied them. The US Drug Enforcement Administration and the US Postal Inspection Service were also involved in the probe.

Matthew had described his decades-long fight with heroin addiction. Ketamine has grown in popularity in recent years as a treatment for depression, anxiety, and pain. According to The Associated Press, Perry’s family told coroner’s investigators that he was receiving ketamine infusion therapy before his death and was being treated by at least two doctors.

Matthew’s death was shocking because he was a beloved character on “Friends” from 1994 to 2004, costarring with Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, and Lisa Kudrow.

He has also appeared in films including “Fools Rush In,” “The Whole Nine Yards,” and “17 Again.”
