Kelly Clarkson Responds To accusations of Her Talk Show Being A Toxic Workplace
(LOS ANGELES) – Kelly Clarkson has replied to a Rolling Stone piece that said her daytime chat show was a hostile workplace.
Clarkson released a statement on her Instagram account on Saturday. In the magazine’s Friday piece, 11 current and former employees complained about being overworked and underpaid on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” calling their work “traumatising to their mental health.”
The unnamed employees in the story praised Clarkson as “fantastic” but said show producers were “monsters” who made their life “hell.”
Clarkson stated that she adores her squad.
“To find out that anyone on this show is feeling unheard and/or disrespected is unacceptable,” she wrote in the post. The talk show host said she wants to keep her workplace healthy and safe.
“As we prepare for a move to the East Coast, I am more committed than ever to ensuring that not only our team is moving, but also that our new team in NY is comprised of the best and kindest in the business,” she added. “Part of that build will include leadership training for all of the senior staff, including myself.”
Clarkson stated that there is “always room to grow” in the program.

“Especially when it comes to leadership, to ensure that any notion of toxicity is eradicated,” she explained.
According to an NBCUniversal spokeswoman, the entertainment company is “committed to a safe and respectful work environment.” According to the statement, workplace complaints are treated “very seriously, and to insinuate otherwise is untrue.”
“When issues are reported, they are promptly reviewed, investigated, and acted upon as appropriate,” according to the statement. “‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ strives to create a safe, respectful, and equitable workplace that fosters an inclusive and creative culture.”
