Katy Perry Video Under Investigation After Allegedly Filming In Protected Area Without Permission
Katy Perry is in deep water in Spain after allegedly filming the music video for her new single “Lifetimes” in a protected region without the proper permits.
According to a statement released by the regional administration on Tuesday, authorities in the Balearic Islands are investigating after the production company responsible for the movie filmed in the Ses Salines Natural Park “without requesting authorisation.”

Perry appears in the video, released on August 8, singing and dancing over protected dunes.
Although the regional administration stated that it was looking into the music video, it stressed that it was not investigating a “crime against the environment,” as filming is permitted in the area.
CNN has asked Perry’s representatives for comment.
Perry’s current single, “Woman’s World,” has been criticised for propagating outmoded assumptions. The issue is the latest in a string of setbacks.
The artist has also faced criticism for collaborating with notorious producer Dr. Luke on the song.
In June 2023, singer Kesha and Dr. Luke, whose legal name is Lukasz Gottwald, “agreed to a resolution” in a legal fight that had been ongoing since 2014.
Kesha sued Gottwald that year, claiming he drugged, emotionally abused, and sexually attacked her.
Gottwald has long rejected such charges, and in the same year, he launched a countersuit against the singer for defamation and breach of contract.

Gottwald has collaborated on some of Perry’s best singles, and the singer has decided to collaborate with him again on her new album, “143,” which will be released on September 20.
Katy resigned as a judge on “American Idol” in May, following seven seasons.
