Jamie Foxx, the Academy Award-winning actor, thanked his fans for their support on an Instagram video and said that he is recovering from an undisclosed medical ailment.
“I went to hell and back, and my road to recovery has some potholes as well, but I’m coming back,” Foxx stated in the three-and-a-half-minute video, looking skinny and wearing a dark pullover shirt. “I’m available to work.”
Jamie Foxx, 55, was hospitalised in April for what his daughter, Corinne Fox, characterised as a “medical complication,” and in his first public statements since his hospitalisation, Foxx did not divulge the severity of his sickness.
“I just didn’t want you to see me that way… ” “I didn’t want you to see me with tubes coming out of me, wondering if I was going to make it,” Jamie Foxx stated, thanking his daughter, sister, God, and medical personnel for saving his life.
“I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through,” Foxx explained.
“Every once in a while, I just burst into tears… because it’s been tough, man, I was sick… but now I’ve got my legs under me, so you’re going to see me,” Foxx explained.
Foxx’s recent film “They Cloned Tyrone” cast mates David Alan Grier, Teyonah Parris, and Tamberla Perry told The Associated Press at the film’s Los Angeles premiere on June 28 that they miss the actor.
“I’m just hoping he gets better and takes the time he needs to heal,” Perry remarked.
