Jamie Foxx Suffers Medical Complication

Jamie Foxx is recovering.

Corinne Foxx, the actor’s daughter, said on Instagram on April 12 that her father lately required medical attention.

“We wanted to share with you that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne wrote. “Fortunately, he is already on his way to recovery thanks to quick action and excellent care.” We know how much he is loved and appreciates your prayers.”

“The family requests privacy at this time,” she added.

Corinne, the 55-year-old’s ex-wife, did not reveal any further details regarding the incident. (He and Kristin Grannis have a daughter named Annalise Bishop.)

E! News reached out to Jamie’s representative but has not received a response.

Jamie was pictured on the set of his new Netflix film Back in Action just two days ago, on April 10, according to TMZ. Cameron Diaz also stars in the project, which marks her comeback to the big screen since her last picture, Annie, in 2014, in which she and Jamie featured together.

Jamie Foxx revealed last year how he convinced Cameron to come out of retirement for the film.

“We just begged and pleased on my knees, like, ‘Just give the people one more again’,” he told E! News Daily Pop exclusively in August. “We adore her; we’ve been waiting for her, and this will be fantastic.”

Jamie Foxx revealed Cameron’s retirement in June by publishing a video of a phone discussion between himself, the Bad Teacher actress, and Tom Brady.

“Cameron, I hope you’re not upset. I taped it, but there’s no turning back now. “Had to call in the GOAT to bring another GOAT back,” Jamie Foxx tweeted on June 29. “@CameronDiaz and I are BACK IN ACTION with our new film, @NetflixFilm.” Production will begin later this year!!”

“I was talking to Jamie, and he said you need a few tips on how to un-retire,” Tom remarked on the audio of their phone discussion. “I’ve had some success with un-retiring.”

Cameron responded, “Honestly, [you’re] exactly what I needed.”
