(VOR News) – Officials from the US intelligence community said in a statement issued on Wednesday that they had sent Donald Trump’s campaign information on Iranian threats aimed at the Republican presidential candidate.
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) verified in a statement to The Associated Press that the briefing had happened. They abstained from discussing whether or not there is proof of a fresh plot against Trump as well as whether or not the briefing included concerns about Iran they already knew about.
Steven Cheung, the campaign’s spokesman, said on Tuesday that the conference included “real and specific” threats to “assassinate him in order to destabilise and incite chaos in the United States.”
Trump’s team did not reveal more details at Tuesday’s briefing.
Two distinct assassination attempts were directed against Trump: one in July at a Pennsylvania rally and the second this month at his golf resort in Florida.
Throughout this time span, Iran has not been connected to either of these events. In the first attempt, the authorities were able to effectively shoot and kill the individual who aimed at Trump; in the second, they captured the offender at the scene of the event.
For a good length of time, American authorities have harboured reservations about Iran. Their claims state that Iran has tried to meddle in the US presidential contest and that they consider Iran as a threat to prior leaders in his government as well as President Trump.
The authorities disclosed in July that they had gathered intelligence on an Iranian threat to Donald Trump’s life, which led to a rise in security precautions implemented for the candidate.
Charges were placed on a Pakistani national suspected of having ties to Iran in relation to a political murder operation on American territory next month. Legal records show that President Trump was a potential target even though law enforcement did not disclose the names of the people purportedly the targets of the claimed conspiracy.
Moreover, Iranian hackers gathered data from Trump’s campaign and tried—but failed—to draw the attention of news outlets and the Biden campaign on the pertinent facts for the inquiry. There is no evidence to justify the lack of replies from the recipients since their absence is asserted.
Statements released by intelligence community officials indicate that Iran, along with Russia and China, is thought to have conducted a thorough online influence campaign aimed at inciting conflict and division in readiness for the election set for November.
Iranian elites reject Trump’s reelection because he will escalate US-Iran relations.
Actions done by President Trump included an annulment of the nuclear agreement with Iran, the reinstatement of sanctions, and permission for the execution of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. This behaviour made the Iranian leadership ready to exact revenge.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in an appearance on CBS This Morning that the authorities have been tracking Iran’s threats directed against several well-known personalities, including President Trump and current vice presidential candidates.
Blinken said in his remarks, “this is an issue that we have been monitoring closely for a considerable amount of time.”
Indicted in 2022 for conspiring to kill John Bolton, who had previously been the National Security Advisor, as a measure of vengeance for an attack carried out by the United States that resulted in the death of Soleimani was the indictment of an Iranian agent.
The Secret Service of the United States did not respond to enquiries about fresh threats against Trump or whether or not they had lately enhanced security for the campaign in view of these threats.
The CIA has issued a public statement in reaction to the July 13 attempted murder of the former president in Butler, Pennsylvania. According to the statement, the former president is now getting the highest degree of organisational protection accessible.
