Gypsy Rose Blanchard Announces the Birth of Her Baby Girl
Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who gained notoriety for her involvement in the murder of her domineering mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, in 2016, has given birth to a baby girl she has named Aurora.
Blanchard’s fiancé, Ken Urker, recently shared an image of the new mother and her baby with the caption, “Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all.”
According to People, her child was delivered on December 28, one year after her release from prison.
The couple’s affection for the aurora borealis phenomenon, also known as the northern lights, served as the inspiration for Gypsy Rose’s decision to name her child Aurora, which she disclosed to People Magazine before the birth.
Gypsy Rose was released from prison in December 2023 after serving more than seven years of a 10-year prison sentence for her involvement in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee.
She was the victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a condition in which a caregiver fakes their child’s illness or induces symptoms to make their child unwell.
In 2024, Gypsy Rose reconciled with an ex-fiancé named Urker. She filed for divorce from Ryan Anderson in April, which was her previous marriage.
In July, she disclosed to her followers that her pregnancy was fortuitous in a YouTube video.
In the video, she stated, “It was entirely unexpected, but we are both thrilled to embark on this new chapter of parenthood.”
The 2019 Hulu series “The Act” dramatized Gypsy Rose’s story and her involvement in her mother’s death, which captivated true crime enthusiasts.
Gypsy Rose began to self-narrate her story upon her release, appearing in the Lifetime reality series “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup” and publishing a memoir in December.
