When to watch the Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024

Equestrian Paralympics 2024 2024 Games in Paris will feature equestrian competitions from Tuesday, September 3 to Saturday, September 7. Dressage is the only equestrian sport competed in at the Paralympics out of the three that are held at the Olympic Games. Similar evaluations are given to riders based on how their horses behave in the competition arena and how well they execute the different required movements.

According to the Paralympic classification system, there are five different athlete classes for equestrian competitions at the Paralympics, including individual and individual freestyle championships. There is also a team championship.

Equestrian Classifications
Grade I All limbs and the trunk are severely impaired in athletes.
Grade II Athletes either have moderate impairment of the trunk, arms, and legs, or severe impairment of the trunk and minimal impairment of the arms.
Grade III Athletes have moderate impairments of the arms, legs, and trunk, and severe impairments of both legs with little to no trunk impairment.
Grade IV Athletes may be short in stature, have a moderate impairment of all four limbs, or have a severe impairment or deficiency of both arms.
Grade V Athletes may be blind or visually impaired, have a mild impairment in their range of motion or muscle strength, or have a mild deficiency in one or two limbs.

Location

The home of the equestrian competition will be one of the most magnificent venues at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris. A temporary outdoor arena will be installed on the Etoile Royal esplanade in the middle of the Palace’s gardens at the historic Château de Versailles.
