Jurassic World Rebirth, the fourth film in the franchise, has given its first glimpse at starring actors Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey.
The sci-fi action franchise will return next year with a brand-new piece of dinosaur mayhem, set five years after the events of the previous installment, 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion.
The franchise’s social media accounts have revealed the first photographs of its two key actors, Zora Bennett and Dr. Henry Loomis, crouching in the long grass.
The tweet also featured a snapshot of Mahershala Ali, who plays Johansson’s coworker Duncan Kincaid. The covert operations officer appears to be scared in the snap, and a red flare is fired for good measure.
Jurassic World Rebirth, the seventh film in the franchise, will take place in isolated equatorial locations with climates similar to their former home.
“The three most massive organisms in that tropical habitat possess the key to a medication that will provide incredible life-saving benefits to humans. Zora Bennett, a talented covert operations expert, has been hired to head a team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three largest dinosaurs.
When Zora’s operation collides with a civilian family whose boating vacation was sunk by marauding aquatic reptiles, they all end up stranded on an island where they encounter a sinister, horrifying discovery that has been concealed from the public for decades.”
Jurassic World Rebirth stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, and David Iacono. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards, noted for his work on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Creator.
Jurassic World Rebirth will be released in cinemas on July 2, 2025.
