Jeremy Camp, Ready Now
“Ready Now” brings the powerful message of trust and surrender to life through strong visuals and direction

Jeremy Camp has released a moving new music video for “Ready Now,” featuring Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae. The song, which appears in a fresh version on Camp’s album Deeper Waters (out May 17, 2024, via Capitol Christian Music Group), mixes his familiar pop-rock worship style with Lecrae’s energetic rap.

Since premiering on YouTube, the video has drawn strong interest online and sparked conversations on social media about its heartfelt message and lively production.

The video for “Ready Now” brings the powerful message of trust and surrender to life through strong visuals and direction. Jeremy Camp, age 47, shared that the song reflects personal moments when he had to release control and trust God, especially in uncertain times.

He explained, “This song is about breaking away from fear and feeling trapped.” The honest lyrics and emotional chorus highlight the tension and relief found in letting go. Lecrae’s verses bring extra inspiration, giving listeners encouragement for their faith journeys.

Jeremy Camp’s Journey

Jeremy Camp was born January 12, 1978, in Lafayette, Indiana. Raised in a family deeply rooted in faith, his father, Tom, pastored at Harvest Chapel and taught him guitar. This early start with music and church shaped Camp’s future.

After high school, he attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in California. There, his talent stood out during worship sessions, opening the door to a recording deal with BEC Recordings.

At 24, he released his debut album Stay in 2002, featuring hits like “I Still Believe” and “Walk by Faith.” These songs, written during difficult times including the loss of his first wife, Melissa Hennin,g of cancer in 2001, connected deeply with fans and established Camp as a voice of hope.

Over the past twenty years, Camp has released 11 studio albums, four of which are certified Gold by the RIAA. He has seen 44 singles climb to No. 1 across Christian music charts. His catalogue covers moving ballads and upbeat rock worship, with albums like Restored (2004), Beyond Measure (2006), and We Cry Out: The Worship Project (2010) standing out.

In 2010, Speaking Louder Than Before received a Grammy nomination. Camp’s storytelling and vulnerability have earned him five GMA Dove Awards, three American Music Award nominations, and four ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Awards. Billboard named him the No. 2 Christian artist of the decade, and he has sold over 6 million albums worldwide.

“Ready Now” signals a new phase

Camp’s story also reached film audiences with the 2020 movie I Still Believe, which tells of his first marriage and faith journey. The movie, starring KJ Apa as Camp, led at the box office on opening night. Camp has also shared his testimony in a memoir, I Still Believe, and he continues outreach through Speaking Louder Ministries, bringing his music and message to places such as Brazil and Ukraine.

The partnership with Lecrae on “Ready Now” signals a new phase, blending Camp’s honest songwriting with Lecrae’s fresh style. The track, co-written with Jordan Sapp and Emily Weisband, is featured on Deeper Waters. The album hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Christian chart and set a streaming record for Camp.

Fans can catch “Ready Now” live on Camp’s 2025 “These Days Tour,” beginning in May with Jonathan Traylor as the opening act. Tickets are available at jeremycamp.com.

Through his music and story, Jeremy Camp continues to encourage others to choose faith and trust. “Ready Now” stands as a clear invitation to let go of fear and believe in God’s promises, echoing the truth of Hebrews 10:23: “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised.”
