The roster for Southern California’s renowned, desert-themed Coachella music festival has been officially released, and there’s little doubt it’ll be a great time.

On Tuesday, Goldenvoice, the company that sponsors the long-running festival, announced that No Doubt, a prominent ska/punk/rock band, will be one of the four headliners in 2024.

The band’s presence will signal a reunion for its members, including frontwoman Gwen Stefani. No Doubt has not played live as a band since at least 2015.

Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, and rapper Tyler, The Creator will also headline the event, with other renowned musicians, including Peso Pluma, Ice Spice, Blur, Sublime, and J. Balvin, scheduled to perform on one of the festival’s numerous stages.

Just before the formal lineup announcement on Tuesday, the No Doubt X page suggested a reunion by posting a video of Stefani reflecting on her early days with the band.

After emphasising how much she missed them, Stefani ended the video by scheduling a video conversation with her No Doubt bandmates, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont, and Adrian Young.

“You guys want to do a show?” Stefani inquired, to which Kanal, Dumont, and Young responded enthusiastically: “Yes!”

While No Doubt has not announced any more concert dates, the band’s forthcoming Coachella performance marks their first tour in nearly ten years. No Doubt was created in the mid-1990s and is most known for its classic hits “Don’t Speak,” “Just a Girl,” and “Spiderwebs,” among others.

After releasing many albums together, the band moved on to pursue solo projects in the early 2000s. Stefani’s first solo album, “Love. Angel. Music. Baby.” was published in 2004, and she has since released three more.

Last year’s Coachella headliners featured Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny, Korean pop group Blackpink, and musician Frank Ocean. Due to an injury, Ocean withdrew from the festival’s second weekend, with Blink-182 filling in.

This year’s live music event will occur over two weekends at Indio’s Empire Polo Field, on April 12-14 and 19-21.
