At the blush pink red carpet for Season 4 Part 1, writers and executive producers Joe Murphy, Grant Sloss, and Alison Brown discussed one new character that audiences may expect in Part 2.
“We actually introduce a new character in the second half of the season, it’s nice to see Emily act as a Paris mentor,” Murphy told the news outlet Deadline.
“Like Mindy took [Emily] under her wing, so if she could do the same thing for someone else, we do get to explore that a little bit in the second half and it doesn’t go as well as Emily’d hoped, but that’s the show.”
Writer and EP Alison Brown hinted at a relationship with this new character.
“The character that we meet in the second half of the season is related to someone, so we get to learn more about these other characters, which is nice,” the actress remarked.
E News! provided thorough descriptions of the two photographs below, which we have not yet met by the end of Part 2.

In an interview with Deadline, actor and Executive Producer Lily Collins teased some snow that will appear later in Season 4.
“We filmed a handful of episodes out of order because we shot this year throughout the autumn and winter seasons.
So we got to travel to the mountains and have snow, and we wanted to make sure we got the nicest snowfall,” she explained. “So certain episodes that are in the second drop, we ended up filming before the end of the first drop.”
Collins mentioned Emily’s probable new love interest, who was photographed by paparazzi during the show’s production.
“I can just say that there were paparazzi pictures that came out where you see that there is a new person that she’s in Rome spending time with, but I will say that Emily gets to go on a very fun Roman Holiday, and Emily wouldn’t be Emily without a little geometry lesson,” according to Collins.
