Elton John ‘Back Home And In Good Health’ Following Hospitalization After 1st Fall
Elton John was taken to the hospital after having “a slip” at home on Sunday night.
When the little accident occurred, the “Rocket Man” singer was in his Mont Boron villa outside Nice, France. The 76-year-old man was brought to Monaco’s Princess Grace Hospital and kept overnight for monitoring.
According to a spokeswoman for John, the music legend is now at home and in “good health.”
“Elton visited the local hospital as a precautionary measure,” according to the statement. “Following check-ups, he was discharged immediately this morning and is now back at home and in good health.”
This isn’t John’s first slip and fall in recent years. The five-time Grammy winner pushed out the balance of his 2021 tour dates to 2023 after he “fell awkwardly on a hard surface.”
Elton John was taken to the hospital after having “a slip” at home on Sunday night.
The fall left his hip in “considerable pain and discomfort,” despite physiotherapy and professional treatment, he had limited movement and needed surgery.
“I’ve been advised to have an operation as soon as possible to get me back to full fitness and make sure there are no long-term complications,” he stated.
Months later, John went into greater detail about his injuries.
“I wouldn’t be 100% fit, 100% confident, because I’m in pain most of the time with my hip,” he added of the postponement. “I can’t move sideways, I can’t get in and out of a car, and I had to make the decision because I wouldn’t want to go onstage and give less than 100%.”
When it came to undergoing surgery, John stated it was “better to get it done now.”
