Elon Musk Confirms 12th Child with Neuralink Executive Shivon Zilis

(CTN News) – Elon Musk and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis welcomed their third kid earlier this year, marking Musk’s 12th child.

The 52-year-old business magnate told Page Six that his new addition was not a “secret,” but publishing a statement would have been “bizarre.”

“As for’secretly fathered,’ that is also false,” he told the publication. “We have informed all of our friends and family. Failure to publish a press statement, which would be strange, does not imply’secret.'”

Elon Musk’s 12th child, whose gender and name are unknown, was born earlier this year, according to reports. Musk previously had two children with 38-year-old Zilis, the executive of Neuralink, his brain-computer interface firm.

Elon Musk’s 12th child was revealed in a Bloomberg article on Friday, which also discussed his views on birth rates.

In July 2022, Musk and Zilis welcomed two children. Court filings obtained by Insider show Musk and Zilis’ children were born in November 2021, weeks before Musk and Grimes had their second child.

The twins’ names were disclosed nearly two years after birth: Strider and Azure.

In his biography of Elon Musk, Walter Isaacson reported in September 2023 that Musk and musician Grimes had a third child, Techno Mechanius, also known as Tau.

Grimes and Elon Musk welcomed their first child, a son named X Æ A-Xii (or X), in 2020. In March 2022, they announced the birth of a girl, Exa Dark Siderael Musk, nicknamed Y, born in December 2021.

Elon Musk has been married twice previously. He met his first wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, while they were students at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. Musk and Wilson married in 2000, and two years later, they welcomed their first child, Nevada Alexander Musk.

Tragically, their first child died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome when he was 10 weeks old.

In 2018, Musk sent an email to a father who had lost his son in a Tesla crash, saying, “There is nothing worse than losing a child.”

“My first child died in my arms. “I felt his last heartbeat,” he wrote on X in 2022.

In 2004, Wilson and Musk welcomed twins Griffin and Vivian, followed by triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian Musk in 2006.

In June 2023, it was reported that Musk and Wilson’s teenage daughter had been given the requested name and gender change. In an April court filing with Los Angeles County Superior Court, their daughter, who identifies as transgender, asked to change her name and cease her relationship with Musk.

“I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form,” the document filed in Santa Monica stated.

Wilson claimed she was “proud” of her daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson’s choice to terminate ties with Musk.

Musk, a father of 12 children, has expressed concern that dropping fertility rates could lead to civilization’s demise.

In 2022, the billionaire tweeted that population collapse from low birth rates poses a greater threat to civilization than global warming.

Following the announcement that he and Shivon Zilis had twins, he expressed concern about dwindling birth rates.

“I’m doing my utmost to address the underpopulation situation. “A collapsing birth rate is the biggest threat civilization faces by far,” he tweeted, mocking the claims. “I hope you have big families and congrats to those who already do!”
