(VOR News) – In a more upbeat tone, former President Donald Trump spoke to Latino voters during a town hall meeting on Wednesday.
He boasted about his business accomplishments and wouldn’t back down from accusations that immigrants from Haiti were eating cats and dogs in Springfield, Ohio. These claims were untrue.
The Latino vote, which is thought to make up up to 15% of eligible voters and may be important in swing states like Arizona and Nevada, was a target for both political parties. Both candidates were vying for the support of Latino voters at the time of the Univision-sponsored town hall gathering.
In his speech to the Spanish-speaking audience, Donald Trump primarily addressed economic matters and claimed that Latinos had benefited more from his administration. The entire therapy lasted around an hour. He talked about the work he’s done, especially at his golf club in Doral, Florida, which is next to town hall.

Donald Trump has gained increased support from Hispanic voters, who had historically sided with Democrats, thanks to his economic appeal. Historically, Hispanic voters have favored Democrats.
Even with the progress, a sizable portion of Latino voters still have misgivings about him. A Republican audience member expressed concern about the events of January 6 during one of the exchanges and said he would like to give Trump another chance to try to earn back his vote.
Trump responded by saying that “the election, not me, is what brought the masses together.” Additionally, he called the rally’s assault on the US Capitol building a “day of love.”
On another occasion, Donald Trump was asked if he genuinely thought about the untrue rumor that neighbors’ dogs had been eaten by Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio. Local authorities have refuted this rumor.
