Doge’s Elon Musk Team Receives ‘Full Access’ to Federal Payments.
(VOR News) – The federal payment system has been granted access to Elon Musk’s initiative to reduce the size of the government, which is referred to as the “department of government efficiency,” according to one of the most renowned members of the United States Congress.
This has resulted in the disclosure of the private information of millions of Americans.
Elon Musk’s direct competitors as well as federal contractors.
Senator Ron Wyden, a Democrat from Oregon and the chairman of the Senate finance committee, disclosed that he had obtained affirmation from sources that the tech mogul and his team had access to the Treasury Department’s highly sensitive database.
Scott Besent, who was recently appointed Secretary of the Treasury by Donald Trump, granted the affluent Doge team “full access to this system” prior to his appointment. “The data bonanza that Wyden described encompassed the entirety of social security and Medicare benefits, grants, and payments to government contractors,” he added.
The agreement has been verified, and it is now widely recognized that Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest individual, has access to one of the most sensitive databases that the United States government has maintained in its most recent revisions.
The system is indispensable to the financial stability of millions of Americans, as it offers them federal salaries and other benefits, as well as entitlements like Medicare and Social Security. The system oversees the transit of over $6 trillion in government funds annually.
Each and every piece of information that has been stored on it up to this point has been kept in an exceptionally secure manner; only a small number of authorities have been granted access to it in any capacity.
However, since the Trump administration assumed power on January 20, members of Elon Musk’s Doge team have been imploring the authorities to grant them access.
The Washington Post published a report on Friday stating that the Treasury Department’s highest-ranking civil servant has elected to retire after more than thirty years of service.
Elon Musk’s associates falsely claimed system penetration, says Lebryk.
The New York Times reported that Lebryk was placed on administrative leave in response to what appears to have been an objection to the fact that Doge officials were permitted access.
Bessent, who is expected to be nominated for the Treasury Secretary position in the near future, accepted the revised contract late on Friday evening, as reported by the journal.
Tom Krause, the chief executive officer of Cloud Software Group, is one of the members of Doge who can now access the information of millions of Americans, as reported in an article published in the Chicago Tribune.
The transaction was still in the process of being negotiated, despite the fact that Wyden had previously warned Elon Musk about the company’s efforts to gain access to a sensitive federal database. He sent Bessent a message stating that the system was of the utmost importance and that it “simply cannot fail.” Bessent received this communication on Friday.
In the opinion of Senator Wyden, “any meddling in them that is motivated by politics poses a significant risk of severe damage to our country and business.”
However, I am unable to conceive of any rational explanation for why it would be necessary for political actors who explicitly disobey the law to have access to these delicate and essential systems.
A potential issue that may arise when a free-wheeling corporation under Musk’s control is granted access to the system is the possibility that Musk may use it to obstruct payments to a variety of federal programs. This would be one of the components of Musk’s plan to overthrow the United States government.
Wyden also expressed concern that the decision could jeopardize the nation’s security, given Elon Musk’s substantial financial stake in China. This is because relocation may enable Chinese intelligence agencies to acquire information from the United States or other countries.
Wyden is of the opinion that this specific situation “endangers the cybersecurity of the United States and creates conflicts of interest that make [Musk’s] access to these systems a risk to the organization’s national security.”
