The actor Darren Kent, well-known for playing a goatherder in “Game of Thrones” and other works, has passed away. He was 39.
Early on Tuesday morning, Carey Dodd Associates, his London-based agency, posted the following on social media to confirm the news:
We must inform you with great sadness that Darren Kent, a beloved friend and client, died peacefully on Friday. With his best buddy and parents by his side. His family is in our hearts and minds during this trying time. Adieu, my friend.
“Darren was not only a gifted actor, director, and writer, but he was also one of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting,” the agency’s Instagram statement continued. Being a part of his journey has been a joy and a pleasure.

Darren’s age at the time of his dying was verified by CNN by Samantha Dodd. The cause of death was not made public.
In a famous 2014 episode of the popular television series “Game of Thrones,” Kent played a goatherder. Ten years prior, he received his first screen credit in the original “Shameless” series.
Other credits include “Mirrors,” a 2008 horror movie starring Kiefer Sutherland, and “Snow White and the Huntsman,” a 2012 film. Kent performed in “Community” and the BBC’s “EastEnders” on television.
The ‘Yes’ Corpse was another character that Kent played in this year’s “Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.” On his IMDb website, the actor listed six projects in the works, including several short films and the movie “What I Know.”
