Washington — On Monday, the Supreme Court denied Josh Duggar’s appeal after he was convicted of downloading child sexual assault photographs.

Josh appeared on TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting” with his enormous family before his 2021 conviction.

The court did not expand on the refusal, which is normal.

Federal officials investigated after police in Little Rock, Arkansas, discovered child sexual abuse material being transferred via a computer linked to him. Investigators stated that in 2019, photos showing the sexual assault of children, including toddlers, were downloaded onto a computer at Josh’s car business. He was sentenced to twelve and a half years in prison.

Lower courts supported his conviction, dismissing Josh’s claim that his attorneys should have been authorized to inquire about a previous sex offense conviction of a former dealership employee who used the same computer.

Duggar’s attorneys did not call the former employee to testify after the judge determined they could not reference the past conviction.

TLC canceled “19 Kids and Counting” in 2015 after claims surfaced that Josh had assaulted four of his sisters and a nanny years prior. After receiving a tip from a family friend, authorities launched an investigation but determined that the statute of limitations on any potential charges had lapsed.
