Ashley St. Clair, a MAGA influencer, sparked an online buzz by alleging she gave birth to Elon Musk’s child five months ago. She announced the baby in a post on the evening of Valentine’s day.
Soon after the announcement, Musk penned a cryptic post to X in reply to a fan who said making ‘another baby’ was yet another of Musk’s ‘side quests’. Musk reacted with crying laughing emoji.
St. Clair’s statement has yet to receive a response from Musk, but it didn’t stop social media critics from chiming in. Influencer Brian Allen commented on X, “Elon Musk, the self-proclaimed savior of civilization, just had a child out of wedlock with Ashley St. Clair.”
The backlash was swift, with some accusing Musk of hypocrisy. Others noted the apparent conflict between his personal life and the conservative values often associated with his political affiliations.
Musk, however, has long been outspoken about encouraging people to have more children, claiming that low birth rates could threaten humanity’s future. Despite his advocacy for increasing population, many questioned how his personal life aligns with traditional family values.

The news struck a chord online, with critics taking aim at Musk and those defending him. While some MAGA supporters congratulated Musk and St. Clair, others pointed out the apparent inconsistency between Musk’s actions and the conservative ideals tied to figures like Donald Trump.

As the story spread, author Shane Cashman likened Musk’s growing family to that of Genghis Khan, the Mongolian leader said to have millions of descendants today. The comparison fuelled more debate, with some calling it a humorous jab and others questioning the seriousness of Musk’s intentions.
Karen Piper offered a sharp critique, suggesting some women might see Musk as a financial opportunity, saying, “A lot of women have no choice but to find a benefactor like Musk to survive.”
St. Clair, in her announcement, urged the media to respect her child’s privacy, quoting the Latin phrase “Alea Iacta Est” or “The die is cast.” Despite her request, the internet was quick to fill X with memes poking fun at Musk’s expanding family.

The Musk and St Clair Affair
Since May 2023, Musk and St Clair have been exchanging public messages filled with cheeky jokes about “dick pics,” playful nods to “pulling out,” and comments about “how babies are made” and “horny jail.”
In July, Musk wished her a happy birthday, and she responded with heart emojis. He followed up with a detailed list of book recommendations and added, “This is the absolute best time in history to have kids!”
St Clair, originally from Florida and raised in Colorado, has gained a million followers on X by embracing a bold, conservative image. She’s written an anti-woke children’s book focused on identity and has faced backlash for associating with individuals accused of being white supremacists.
Friends of the outspoken influencer noticed something was up when she reportedly asked them to sign NDAs, fuelling rumours about her relationship with Musk.
About a year ago, St Clair relocated to a high-end apartment in Manhattan near City Hall, with rent estimated between $12,000 and $15,000 a month, according to the Daily Mail.
A resident of the luxury building, which has housed many celebrities and public figures, mentioned St Clair was the first person he’d seen with a Tesla Cybertruck. He also wondered how the young influencer managed to afford it.
Neighbours have noted that St Clair appears to live as a single mother, though she employs a full-time nanny to care for her two kids—allegedly Musk’s baby and a toddler from her previous relationship.
