Jennifer Affleck Wants To Legally Be Jennifer Lopez Again

Jennifer Lopez’s professional moniker “Jennifer Affleck” never took off.

According to a divorce file acquired by CNN, the singer and actress wants her name changed back to “Jennifer Lynn Lopez” from “Jennifer Lynn Affleck.”

Jennifer filed for divorce from Ben Affleck earlier this week, coinciding with their second wedding anniversary in Riceboro, Georgia, in 2022. She listed their separation date as April 26, 2024, implying that they were married for one year and nine months before splitting up.

The filing followed allegations that the couple had been living on opposite coasts over the summer, with Lopez celebrating her birthday at the end of July in a Bridgerton-themed celebration that did not appear to involve Affleck.

In February, Jennifer released “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” a documentary about her independently produced record “This Is Me… Now” and her decades-long search for self-love.

In the film, Affleck stated that he learnt to “compromise” with Jennifer over her wish to make their private life more public.

Their divorce is the latest chapter in a decades-long love tale between two superstars.\

Jennifer and Affleck married more than 20 years after meeting on the set of the comedy “Gigli,” where they portrayed crooks stranded on a job together and developed a real-life relationship that eventually led to a romance. They called off a wedding in 2003 before reuniting in 2021.

Lopez stated “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.
