When the Jacksonville Jaguars spend back-to-back weeks in London this year, they will become the first NFL team to play two overseas games in the same season.

On October 1, the Jaguars will “host” the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium, and on October 8, they will “visit” the Buffalo Bills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Jaguars were scheduled to play two designated home games in London in 2020. However, those plans were canceled because of the pandemic.

The NFL also revealed the dates and opponents for three other foreign games, including the inaugural Black Friday battle.

On October 15, the Tennessee Titans will “host” the Baltimore Ravens at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. On November 5, NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes and the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will “host” the Miami Dolphins at Eintracht Frankfurt Stadium in Germany. On November 12, the New England Patriots will “host” the Indianapolis Colts in Frankfurt.

On November 24, Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets will face the Miami Dolphins. The reigning NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles will face the New York Giants in a playoff rematch on Christmas Day. On New Year’s Eve, the Chiefs will meet the Cincinnati Bengals in another playoff rematch.

Thursday night will see the unveiling of the whole NFL schedule.

On October 1, the Jaguars will “host” the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium.

“Hosting the Falcons at Wembley Stadium will be awesome, only to be followed by playing on the road against the Bills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium,” Lawrence said. “I’m excited for the experience and know Duval will be there for me at both games.”

The Jaguars have played nine games in London, including a 21-17 loss to the Denver Broncos in front of an NFL-record 86,215 fans at Wembley Stadium in October. The Jaguars became the first club to win a playoff game despite having the poorest record the previous season under first-year coach Doug Pederson, who led Philadelphia to a Super Bowl triumph in 2017.

The Titans and Ravens will make their second trip to London.

“It’s exciting to witness and play a role in the NFL’s rise in popularity across the globe,” Ravens president Sashi Brown said. “This is an incredible opportunity to play in front of, and connect with, Ravens fans in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe.”

Last season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL’s first regular-season game in Germany.

“We are excited to play the Dolphins in Frankfurt this autumn,” Chiefs owner Clark Hunt stated. “The Chiefs have a long history of helping to grow the game of football around the world, and we have been eagerly anticipating our chance to play in Germany.”

The Patriots have a 3-0 record in foreign games, while the Chiefs have a 2-0 record.

“Germany has some of the world’s most passionate sports fans and has always been an international leader in enthusiasm for American football and the NFL,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft said. “I’m ecstatic to play a home game in this new market and to build on our team’s long history and engagement with German fans.” Our goal is to interact with fans locally, and I’m looking forward to growing that fan base and establishing new partnerships and chances for collaboration in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.”

Because of repairs at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca, no international game will be in Mexico in 2023.

On October 1, the Jaguars will “host” the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium.

The five international games in 2022 set attendance and viewership records. Each game was completely sold out, with 356,116 people in attendance.

“We are excited to bring three games to London once again, a city with a huge love for the sport and a passionate fan base across the UK,” said Peter O’Reilly, NFL executive vice president of club business, major events, and international. “We are also delighted to confirm that the two games in Germany will be held in Frankfurt, a city rich in NFL history.” We are excited to stage both games at Eintracht Frankfurt’s Stadium and to build on the fantastic atmosphere created by last season’s game in Munich.”

With the NFL’s expansion to 17 regular-season games in 2021, teams will get a ninth home game in alternate seasons. Each year, up to four clubs from the league eligible for that ninth regular-season home game are designated to play a neutral-site international game.

As part of their multi-year commitment to playing in the United Kingdom, the Jaguars will host a game at Wembley Stadium.

“The addition of the road contest against Buffalo allows us to maximise the logistical efficiency of our travels to and from the United Kingdom, while maintaining a strong slate of games at our true home at TIAA Bank Field,” Jaguars President Mark Lamping said in a statement.
