Cardi B became the latest performer to be struck by something thrown by an audience member, and she had none of it. A fan in the front row poured their drink at the “WAP” rapper when she was performing onstage at Drai’s Beachclub at the Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas on July 29. Cardi B retaliated by hurling her microphone at the perpetrator.

Cardi B later retweeted a video of the incident but did not respond. E! News reached out to Cardi B and Drai’s Beachclub representatives but has not received a response.

While there have been several incidences of audience members throwing objects at singers onstage throughout the years, such incidents appear to have increased in recent weeks, with footage of them going viral.

A man threw a phone at Bebe Rexha onstage in mid-June, wounding her in the face. The offender was apprehended and charged with assault. His lawyer told NBC News that his client’s “sole intention was to have Ms. Rexha take photos with his phone and return it as a keepsake,” and that it “was never his intention to injure Ms. Rexha.”

Later that month, Kelsea Ballerini interrupted a show in Idaho after a fan hurled what seemed to be a bracelet at her, striking her in the face. “Can we just talk about what happened?” she asked the audience. “All I care about is that everyone is safe.” If you ever feel unsafe, please notify someone nearby.”

“If anyone is pushing too hard or you just have that gut feeling, always flag it,” she added. Don’t hurl anything. “Did you know?”

When Pink was not hit in the face when playing in June, one of her gigs was the site of a throwing incident, which caught her by surprise. A fan threw a bag of their mother’s ashes onto the stage during her performance at the British Summer Time Festival on June 25.

“Is this your mother?” “I don’t know how to feel about this,” the “So What” singer told an audience member.

A fan tossed an object at Harry Styles during his concert in Vienna earlier this month. Following the event, the singer was seen concealing his face.

Adele addressed the hurling things trend onstage at one of her Las Vegas residency gigs about a week prior.

“Have you noticed how people are like forgetting f–king show etiquette at the moment?” she asked the audience. “Everyone is just throwing s–t onstage.” “Did you see them?”

I f–king dare you,” the “Hello” singer joked. If you hurl something at me, I’ll f–k murder you.”

She made her statements while firing a T-shirt into the audience, which was ironic. “‘Stop throwing things at the artist, but you can shoot things into people,'” she joked. “It’s a complete 180.”
