Live Nation, headquartered in Beverly Hills, California, issued a regulatory statement Friday stating that on May 27, “a criminal threat actor” attempted to sell Ticketmaster data on the dark web.
According to other media sources, a hacker organization called ShinyHunters claimed responsibility for the breach on an internet forum and asked $500,000 for the data, which purportedly included millions of customers’ names, addresses, phone numbers, and some credit card information.
