Bruce Springsteen is stepping away from the stage for the time being.
The 73 musician just revealed that he and his E Street Band had canceled the remainder of their September gigs while he sought medical attention.
“Mr. Springsteen is being treated for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease,” a statement on his Instagram account on September 6 stated, “and the decision of his medical advisors is that he should postpone the remainder of his September shows.”
(According to the Mayo Clinic, “peptic ulcers are open sores that develop on the inside lining of your stomach and the upper portion of your small intestine,” with stomach pain being the most prevalent symptom.
Springsteen expressed his gratitude to his fans in a statement to his followers, saying he is focusing on his health.

“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows,” he explained. “First and foremost, we apologise to our wonderful Philadelphia fans that we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to take up these shows and more. Thank you for your patience and support.”
The Boss also stated that he intends to return to the stage immediately.
“We’ve been having a blast at our US shows, and we’re looking forward to more great times,” he continued. “We’ll be right back.” Bruce, love and God bless you all.”
This isn’t the first time Springsteen has had to cancel a portion of his tour this year. The Grammy winner was forced to cancel two gigs in Philadelphia in August after it was revealed that he had “taken ill.”
Fans are expressing their best wishes to Springsteen, who is now being treated for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease.
