The mysterious artist Banksy has revealed that he painted swimming piranhas on a City of London Police sentry box, which was originally discovered on Sunday morning.

The glass-fronted tank on Ludgate Hill, between the Old Bailey and St. Paul’s Cathedral, has been renovated into an aquarium.

Banksy Confirms Seventh London Artwork In A Week

This is his eighth new sculpture to be unveiled in the capital in as many days, after a goat, monkeys, elephants, a wolf, pelicans, and a cat.
Crowds came to take photos throughout the day until barriers were placed, barring people from entering.

This work differs from Banksy’s earlier works, which were unveiled this week, in that it is a complex painting that looks to have been done with translucent spray paint.

The City of London Police stated they were aware of “criminal damage” to the police box and were working with the City of London Corporation, which owns it.

A company employee was previously observed barricading it off and instructing spectators not to stand in the road near it.

A spokeswoman stated, “We are currently considering options to preserve the artwork.”
The sentry box is one of many that were built in the 1990s to help police officers watch traffic and prevent IRA assaults.

A local neighbor who came to photograph the fish artwork commented that it looked “rather beautiful in the sun.”

“I like it; it has a certain charm about it. It is not overt but rather subtle.
Daniel Lloyd-Morgan, the artist responsible for most of Banksy’s recent artwork, expressed that it is encouraging for Londoners. His work is generating a lot of interest, and it’s good to capture that together with the people.

“It’s not just about the artwork, it’s about the whole environment he’s creating, it becomes a sort of work of art itself – what happens to it, people steal it or take it away.”

Mr Lloyd-Morgan stated that he had planned to travel on holiday on Monday but had postponed it in case Banksy’s art exposes continued next week.

Banksy’s translucent fish swimming around a 1990s police sentry box is the seventh installment in a surprising animal-themed art series.

On Monday, a goat emerged on the side of a building near Kew Bridge, followed by a lovely image of two elephants connecting trunks on the side of a house in Chelsea on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, hundreds gathered to see three monkeys dangling from a bridge in Brick Lane.
Atop Thursday, a howling wolf atop a satellite dish, which appeared to be howling at the moon, was erected on the roof of a garage in Peckham.

On Friday, residents in Walthamstow awoke to find two pelicans fishing above a fish shop.

On Saturday, a stencil of a cat stretching appeared on an empty billboard in Cricklewood.

Three of these pieces have been either removed or defaced.
Contractors removed the billboard and cat hours after they were discovered, citing safety concerns.
Crowds gathered to see the art booed as three men demolished it.

On Friday, the friendly elephants were shown with stripes painted over them. Earlier this week, the satellite dish and its wolf were reportedly removed by masked criminals just hours after being revealed.
Every day, the artist posted an official announcement about the works on his Instagram page.
