Bombardier is thrilled to announce the delivery of its 1,000th super-midsize aircraft, marking a key moment in business aviation history. This milestone was celebrated with the handover of a Challenger 3500 jet to JM Family Enterprises, a long-time Bombardier customer, during a special event at the company’s Challenger delivery centre in Montréal.
“This is a proud moment for Bombardier,” said Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier. “Delivering our 1,000th super-midsize aircraft showcases our team’s dedication, talent, and customer loyalty worldwide.
Celebrating this achievement with a client who shares our values, entrepreneurial passion, and commitment to community is even more special. The Challenger series has set a standard in its category, creating a new benchmark for business jets, and we’re excited to build on its legacy.”
Bombardier presented JM Family Enterprises with the ceremonial keys to their new Challenger 3500 during the ceremony. The aircraft was also showcased to over 700 employees and guests who attended this historic occasion.
The New Challenger 3500
Since entering service, Bombardier’s super-midsize jets have become synonymous with exceptional performance and reliability. Over the past twenty years, these aircraft have dominated their category, consistently leading in sales.
The Challenger 3500 continues this tradition, standing as the most delivered jet in its class for 2024.
The Challenger 3500 has quickly gained popularity in its segment thanks to its low operating costs, outstanding performance, and state-of-the-art cabin. It introduces several industry-first features, such as a voice-controlled cabin, while incorporating advanced elements from Bombardier’s flagship Global 7500 aircraft, including the innovative Nuage seat.
Adding to its appeal, the Challenger 3500, as does Bombardier’s entire production lineup, carries an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). Bombardier is the only business jet manufacturer that issues EPDs for its aircraft. Additionally, the company offsets emissions from all its operational flights through the Book-and-Claim system using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
