Bollywood Actor Saif Ali Khan Recovers After Stabbing
Following a stabbing incident at his Mumbai home, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan underwent surgery and is currently recuperating. He is no longer in danger, according to his team.
Khan and his family live in a posh neighbourhood of Mumbai, where the attack happened early on Thursday morning. Shortly after midnight, an unknown intruder broke into the actor’s house and caused injuries, according to local police, who spoke to BBC News.
To investigate the case, authorities have assembled investigative teams.
In a statement, Saif Ali Khan’s aides said, “He is safe and has successfully recovered from surgery. As he heals, he is being watched. A knife stuck in Khan’s thoracic spine caused a severe spinal injury, according to Dr. Nitin Dange of Lilavati Hospital, where Khan is being treated.
During surgery, doctors addressed spinal fluid leakage and removed the knife. The hospital’s plastic surgery team also treated deep wounds on his left hand and neck.

Saif Ali Khan has two children and is married to Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan. According to his team, the family is safe. Kareena subsequently spoke out about the incident on Instagram, describing it as “a difficult day for our family” and stating they are still dealing with it. She asked for privacy from the paparazzi and the media, asking them to respect the family’s space and refrain from speculating.
The attack’s specifics are still unknown. Mumbai Police claim that an unidentified person broke into Khan’s house and started a fight.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam, the case involves “an unknown person,” while Khan’s team called it an “attempted burglary” without going into further detail. They urged the media and public to exercise patience while the investigation is ongoing.
Saif Ali Khan, a well-known personality in Hindi cinema, made his Bollywood debut in 1993 and is renowned for his memorable roles and witty banter. Action dramas like Tanhaji and Devara: Part 1 are among his films, along with romantic hits like Dil Chahta Hai and Kal Ho Naa Ho. In the 2006 adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello, Omkara, he played a villain to great praise.
