Delta Ends Affiliation With Lyft and Links Its Loyalty Program to Uber.
(VOR News) – The news was announced by both companies on Tuesday that Delta Air Lines will commence the integration of its lucrative SkyMiles loyalty program with Uber in the spring.
Both organizations independently disclosed the information. The airline is currently in the process of terminating its eight-year partnership with Lyft, a ride-hailing competitor that is relatively minor. This information is being released at the same time.
Delta SkyMiles customers will be able to earn one mile for every dollar spent on UberX airport flights, two miles for every dollar spent on “premium rides” such as Uber Comfort and Uber Black, and three miles for every dollar spent on Uber Reserve trips once their accounts are linked, according to a statement released by Uber on Tuesday.
Once the customer accounts are linked, this will occur. Uber Eats will provide its subscribers with one mile for every dollar spent on orders that exceed forty dollars and originate from grocery stores and restaurants. This incentive is valid for orders placed throughout the United States.
Dara Khosrowshahi, Uber’s Chief Executive Officer, declared in a press release that the company is “dedicated to facilitating an airport travel experience that is both affordable and effortless.”

Lyft had a total of 24.4 million active passengers at the conclusion of the third quarter, and customers successfully scheduled over 216 million rides through the platform during the three months that concluded on September 30.
