Police in Rajasthan Jaipur arrested four men on Tuesday during a series of raids targeting illegal arms. Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Amit Kumar reported that officers seized five homemade pistols, a 12-bore gun, 373 bullets (7.65 mm), and two live cartridges during the operations.

In the first case, a police informant tipped off a constable about a suspicious man carrying a black bag near Mamta Hotel on Benad Road. Officers arrived and arrested Uttam Singh Bhadoria (22) from Madhya Pradesh.

Bhadoria admitted to transporting weapons from his home state. Police recovered three pistols, 50 live bullets, a 12-bore gun, and two additional cartridges from him.

In another operation, police stopped a suspect near Kardhani Park. He was identified as Utsav Kumawat (21) from Chomu. Officers found 13 live bullets in his pocket. Kumawat confessed that he got the ammunition from Bhadoria.

In a separate raid, police arrested Dharm Pratap Singh Jadon (38) from Karauli. He was carrying a homemade pistol and 300 live bullets in white plastic bags. Jadon told police that Bhadoria was his supplier.

The final arrest happened near a park when a team led by a head constable detained Netrapal Singh (21) from Uttar Pradesh’s Hansraj Colony. He had a concealed pistol and a packet containing 10 live bullets. Singh also admitted to getting the weapons from Bhadoria.

Police said all four suspects were arrested based on special intelligence. Authorities believe the weapons were intended for criminal activities.

On the same day, Jaipur police conducted widespread raids on criminal hideouts across the city. Around 700 individuals were detained for questioning. Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph said the operation was part of a larger effort to boost public confidence.
