Less than a year after the release of their podcast “Archetypes,” Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, are parting relations with Spotify and their production business.
The show, which Meghan hosts, is departing the platform for unknown reasons, but Spotify and Archewell Audio said in a joint statement that the decision was mutual.
In 2020, Spotify agreed to a multiyear agreement with Archewell to produce podcasts and shows featuring a variety of voices and viewpoints.
With tennis legend Serena Williams as a guest, the podcast debuted in August last year and became an instant smash.
It was at the top of the Spotify charts in seven nations, including the US and the UK, and it took home the People’s Choice Award for Best Podcast the previous year.
“I enjoyed getting my hands dirty and staying up late to work on the writing and creativity. And I enjoyed having deep, important conversations with my interesting, diverse, and inspiring guests while you all listened, laughing and learning together, the Duchess of Sussex remarked.
Paris Hilton, Mindy Kaling, Trevor Noah, and Mariah Carey were additional guests on the program.

In a challenging economic climate, tech businesses have reduced expenses, and Spotify has not been exempt. Spotify revealed this week that it was eliminating another 200 workers, six months after revealing that it would eliminate 6% of its global staff or approximately 600 jobs.
At the time, the business announced it would include podcast networks Parcast and Gimlet into its Spotify Studios division.
This month, Prince Harry visited the High Court in London. He claims that the Daily Mirror’s publisher has been employing illegal “industrial-scale” methods to get front-page scoops on his life. The Duke of Sussex testified, making history by being the last senior member of the royal family to do so.
